The storyline for my film 'The Walls Can Talk'

 

 

My story line will follow a college teacher who appears to have an orderly and controlled life from face value, the film opening with a teacher arriving at a college in the early-ish afternoon and navigating near-silent corridors whilst teaching in a  classroom with a highly controlled exterior. The early shots and scenes aiming to establish the isolation and reliance on routines, accompanied with eerie soundtrack to help convey unease or instability. Throughout the day, the teacher will perform with gravitas in front of their students, presenting as calm and in control. As the narrative progresses, we get small glimpses into psychological unease and disturbances, distorted sounds, long stretches of uncomfortable silences, reflections in windows, flickering lights. The teacher becoming fixated on keeping control, trying to push the voice in their head aside, correcting their appearance and trying to keep their words steady, almost like they are performing a role rather than living a normal life. Outside of the college their life is presented as isolated, schizophrenic and distant.
