Identifying Conventions of Posters - Introduction

As I will be making a poster for my short film, I will be analysing and identifying common conventions of posters to aid in my creation.

I will be looking at 5 posters from numerous different genres to identify common themes and conventions across different genres.

I will be analysing posters from the following 5 films:

'The Platform' (2019) (Psychological Horror)

'Pulp Fiction' (1994) (Comedy)

'Carry-On' (2024) (Thriller)

'Subservience' (2024) (Sci-fi / dystopian)

'Fifty Shades Freed' (2018) (Romantic Drama)
